Rate Schedule for Seat Weaving

The rates listed on this web page are effective April 1, 2008.

Bench Fee -- $18.00

The Bench Fee applies to all chairs being considered for restoration. The Bench Fee covers materials for the seat reweaving, removal of old seat material, chair rail prep, re-gluing of joints, and minor chair repairs.

Hand or Strand Caning

  • Caning, hand
    $95.00 for an average seat (15 x 15)
    (holes are drilled around the inside of the seat rail)

Cane Webbing or Prewoven Caning

  • Cane webbing
    $40.00
    (a groove along the edge of the seat rail)

Binder Cane Seat Weaving

  • Herringbone Design
    $105.00
    (binder cane woven in a herringbone design on a round seat rail)

  • Porch weave Design
    $105.00
    (binder cane woven in a herringbone design on a round seat rail)

  • Finger Lake Fan Design
    $105.00
    (binder cane woven in a herringbone design on a round seat rail)

Blind Caning or French Caning

  • Caning, Blind or French
    $165.00 for an average seat (15 x 15)
    (holes are drilled around the inside of the seat rail, but the holes do not extend through the seat rail)

Hand Caning, Spiderweave Design

    $150.00 (back panel of the chair)
    (holes are drilled around the inside of the seat rail)

Wicker Repair and Restoration

  • Wicker
    $45.00 for the first hour.
    $35.00 per hour after the first hour.
    An estimate is necessary for wicker restoration.
